The Minoan Empire never fell. Steam-driven Indie music is on the rise. And the greatest discovery of the century has happened on a tiny island in the Cyclades.

iland is a labour-of-love comic by Nikos Tsouknidas and Rob Morgan.

Between building instruments for the Battle of the Bands, and people badgering him to “think of his future”, teenage engineer Markos has enough to worry about without accidentally inventing lumodynamic photochemistry into the bargain. But his childhood love has returned to the island from the big city: maybe this “photography” stuff will finally let him capture a piece of the mysterious (read: weird) Ioanna.

iland is our love-letter to invention, open-source and over-active hormones. The year is 1832 and we’re just getting started.
